He looked around him, spotting the faintest taint of sunrise creeping up along the horizon. “Oh dear, Lacey what time is it? We should definitely head back. Although we only have about two more weeks until were free. Then we can drink all the booze and shove all the people we want under the mistletoe.” he said with a boyish grin, lightly nudging Lacey in an effort to encourage to brave the long walk back to the Gryffindor common room.

Lacey smiled a bit and nodded “Alright, lets head back then” She turned and began to make her way back to the common-room

"I hear you Lace. But look on the bright side, The Christmas Ball is probably coming up, which means some lame second or third year will probably try sneaking fire whiskey into the punch like last year. Honestly, these kids have no apathy. There are so many ways around the school’s no tolerance policies. I feel like I’m a in a school full of halfwit criminals sometimes." Dmitri joked warming up once again to his usual aura.

"Yeah, I suppose." She replied with a half chuckle. Her mind spun a bit and she looked over at Dmitri and yawned a bit "So, should we head back? It is getting pretty late….or well…early"

"Tell me about it, I’m in desperate need of attention from desperate women. I mean, the real victim here is my social status. I have a reputation to uphold, and the only way to do that is to attend such gatherings." any trace of Dmitri even showing his more sensitive side was no gone to be replaced with his hard, sarcastic, vain exterior.

"I’ve been keeping an eye out for anything, but it seems nothing has come up yet, and I am in need of a good drink." Lacey said, but her mind was wandering else where. As Dmitri lost his sensitive side, for now, Lacey was gaining more of her own. Personal problems where brewing in her mind.

Dmitri turned to Lacey, smiling lightly. “You know Lacey, you’re not at all what you seem. You’re so different from the way people persevere you. I like that about you, different is good. It’s not boring like most of the student body, who’s favorite color is probably their house color, and have probably never even been inside a Hogsmeade tavern.” he joked devilishly, knowing just as well that Lacey shared in hi knack for breaking rules and having fun just as much as he did.

Lacey laughed and smiled “Yeah, most people are so stuck in their own worlds and to afraid to break out and have fun.” She responded with a smirk. “I cant wait til the next party by the way.”

"I like mushy. Mushy is nice. It means that you actually know how to feel something. Unlike me…" Dmitri muttered under his breath. What he said was completely true of course, he was the type of guy who preferred not to talk about feelings or any other sensitive crap girls required, mostly because he has entirely to many feelings sometimes. he wished he could truly not feeling anything, mostly because the majority of feelings out there hurt like hell.

"Well, I suppose that is true, but I am not one for mushy crap. But sometimes it is needed to be said, Y’know?" Lacey smiled to him, and stretched a bit "But don’t let things get you so down. It isnt worth the pain." She added, with a soft laugh

"Trust me Lace, there aren’t many things. Lace, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?" Dmitri asked desperately, hoping for some kind of insight on his life or guidance in the right direction.

"Well, the only thing you can do is follow your heart. Yet again I sound all mushy, but it is true. If you keep true to yourself, things will become clearer." Lacey said with a reassuring smile

A Night on the Town || Lacey and Veronica

The sun was just beginning to set, as Lacey made her way down to the gates. She had a bit of a bounce to her step, excited to have something to do for the night, and happy that she could help to cheer up a friend. She didn’t know what happened to Veronica, but she wanted to make sure it didn’t linger in her mind.

Lacey looked around, noticing that Veronica hadn’t made it there yet, so she sat herself on a boulder to wait.  Within moments of sitting down, Lacey noticed Veronica making her way toward the gates.
